The Durham Region Association of Realtors (DRAR) recently presented cheques to three local charities. Money was raised by the Every Realtor Campaign, which began in 2007.

The recipient of the 2016 CMHC Award of Distinction was Dena Sicard, sales representative at Royal LePage Frank Real Estate in Whitby. DRAR's new board includes Roger Bouma as president, and Sandra O'Donohue as past-president.

Wendy Giroux is the new executive officer of the Durham Region Association of Realtors (DRAR). She succeeds Nancy Shaw, who became the CEO and general manager at the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce.

The Durham Region Association of Realtors (DRAR) Political Affairs Committee (PAC) won the Outstanding PAC Team Award for a large association. The national award recognizes and honours volunteer initiatives and enterprises in advancing federal Realtor issues.
