Pauline Aunger loves being president of the Canadian Real Estate Association. “I can’t imagine my life in real estate without being involved. It’s been a great pleasure to be a part of the change instead of waiting to see what happens.”



Electronic signatures, already sweeping through a myriad of other industries, became legally binding in Ontario real estate transactions on July 1, despite the province’s initial trepidation.

The Durham Region Association of Realtors (DRAR) Political Affairs Committee (PAC) won the Outstanding PAC Team Award for a large association. The national award recognizes and honours volunteer initiatives and enterprises in advancing federal Realtor issues.


Pauline Aunger, CREA’s 2015 president, has been a Realtor since 1977 and is broker of record with Royal LePage Advantage Real Estate in Smiths Falls and Perth, Ont.


AGMs get poor representation except by those who are paid to be there, those within a few minutes driving distance and those few of us who think membership deserves attention to the governance of our multi-million dollar asset.

Top-level domain .mls


The Canadian Real Estate Association has secured the rights to the top-level domain ".mls", after bidding US $3.36 million in an auction held on December 17. The association emerged victorious after a bidding war with Afilias, a global registry company based in Dublin, Ireland.
