Reports of the demise of one of HomeLife's Alberta offices were premature.  HomeLife Higher Standards of Lethbridge is
remaining within the HomeLife fold, contrary to a news release issued by
Century 21 Canada and reported in REM's July issue.

“Century 21 Double D made an offer,” says HomeLife
Higher Standards owner, Gordon Davy.
“By joining the two offices, we would have ended up being a big
player in the Lethbridge market.”

Davy says no final agreement was concluded, however, and it
continues to be business as usual for sales staff at HomeLife Higher
Standards.  The company provides
residential, commercial, farm and acreage sales service to Lethbridge
and area, based out of its main Lethbridge
office and a second office in Cardston.
“Business so far has been good and steady, but the drought has been
bad this year,” says Davy.  “It
affects all of us in southern Alberta
when farmers have less money to spend.”
