‘To market to market a big fat hen….’
Or so the nursery rhyme started out, if some of us can remember when, or maybe some of us still read nursery rhymes to our children or grandchildren. Some of us in this industry still seem to practice the fine art of marketing in the same manner as [...]

I was just re-reading your story about the mls.ca hot button
from the August issue of REM.
My comment, as a sales representative for the past 15 years,
is that we as an industry are in fact giving away our valuable information. We

considering severing “Realtor” membership from board membership.
As an Ontario practitioner (without detailed knowledge of registration in the
other provinces) I see the (mandatory-membership) [...]

It was with great interest that I read Jim Adair’s article
(MLS proposals ‘anti-competitive’ says Pearce, REM September). My stance has
always been that there are numerous “fat cats” at both the national and local board
levels of real estate. David Pearce should be commended on his stance for truly
treating his position at CREA in the same approach [...]

An old Realtor like me sees in a marriage a few parallels to a building.
Buildings sitting on a properly constructed concrete foundation, or carefully anchored on rock formations, remain solid regardless of high winds, bad weather, earthquakes or sundry upheavals.
In a marriage, love is the foundation. In order to endure, love must be diligently maintained [...]
